Starting with the Romulans:

In keeping with GryphonHawk-related requests in other threads: would it be possible to include "-B", "-M", "-U", and/or "-V" iterations of this class here, akin to the equivalent modular configurations offered for the SparrowHawk?

Also, would it be possible to consider offering heavy carrier variant counters for the DemonHawk modular dreadnought? As in, one variant configured with a SkyHawk-B module and a pair of SparrowHawk-B modules; and another with the same SkyHawk-B module and a pair of SparrowHawk-U modules. (There are "space control ship" configurations also - to include the infamous "REDHawk" - but those might perhaps best go on other countersheets.)

Further, since the 2016 revision to Fighter Operations included counters for the Klingon C6, might there be room for the recently-posted KC6 to be added here in turn?

And to clarify: is the current Vulture counter on the Romulan SIT PDF intended to represent the "War Vulture" or the "King Vulture"? in SFB and FC terms, the differences in combat capabilities (and in point values) are broadly comparable to that between the War Eagle and the King Eagle. Therefore, if the current VUL counter is a War Vulture, can a dedicated King Vulture counter be considered? Or, if the VUL is in fact the King Vulture, might a separate War Vulture counter be placed under consideration?

For the Klingons:

To transplant a request from a seperate countersheet thread: could one of the as-yet-unused black counter slots be used for the LD5 light cruiser? This would be in keeping with the other Middle Years ships offered in the 2016 update to Fighter Operations.

And for the Gorns:

When the 2016 update to Fighter Operations was printed, a number of Middle Years ships which had hitherto required stand-in counters were given dedicated counters for the first time - to include the aforementioned Klingon C6, as well as the Hydran Templar and the Lyran DNE.

More recently, in Tactical Operations, a series of stand-in counters are advised for use by the Middle Years Gorns in (631.31), for use in the scenario The War That Almost Was.

Could some of the as-yet-unused white counter space here be used to represent these units: namely, the Gorn DNE (as listed here), "CC-" (R6.18), CA (R6.2), and "CL-" (R6.3)?

If so: based on the various SSDs, plus the DNE-to-DN precedent shown on the SIT, I would suggest that the "CC-", CA, and "CL-" have the same defensive factors as the General War-era CC, BC, and CL respectively - but lower attack factors, to account for the weaker plasma loadouts on each "unrefitted" hull.

On a side note: these Middle Years Gorn counters would also be useful for playtesting against their "lost empire" Paravian counterparts, should one wish to draw from the preview material in Captain's Log #48 to do so; and/or against the "Shadow of the Eagle" Romulans, should any of the data from SFB Module R4J be ported over to F&E someday..

I agree that those "G-"/"L-" ships based on Early Years base hulls should be kept well aside for now.

And yet, as noted over in the Countersheet Sierra request thread, the LD5 (R3.134) is not one of those hulls, despite its General War-era designation. It is, in fact, of Middle Years design, comparable (on paper, at least) to the Lyran Panther light cruiser. Indeed, the Klingons themselves initially listed this ship as the "D5" - that is, until the KDB-1104 later succeeded it as the "true" D5.

That said, there wasn't any room on the Sierra countersheet for the LD5. So if it turns out that there are better options for the Klingons here also, fair enough.

As for the LD5, if I recall correctly, this ship is to be part of the future local defense/national guard/naval reserve product called Defensive Operations (DO) and will involve special rule not yet developed. Unless directed by ADB, now is not the time to do the research needed to include this unit. Our priority is to make sure the units on the VULKAN meet the requirements of that sheet, and the FO product in general. I my opinion their are other higher priority ships to be added.

FEDS: If adding the GHL is important we will have an over abundance of SNEs on VULKAN and AO's sheet N&O.

In FO, we only really need two SNEs for the TWO original WH Groups on the Romulan OOB. FO 2004/2015 provided THREE SNE on one sheet of V1V2 and AO provided one SNE counter on THREE sheets of N&O (3xSNE total in AO). Now that we are adding TWO sheets of VULKAN to FO, there will now be 6xSNE in FO plus the three in AO for a total of 9xSNE.

If ADB wishes to include the GHL then may I suggest dropping one of the three SNEs from VULKAN to accommodate this request. This will leave FO with FOUR SNEs plus the THREE SNEs in AO for a total of SEVEN SNEs in the two boxes.

To accomplish this:
Replace SNE at A-5 with GHL: Ref TBD; Factors 9-7/4; Product FO; CR7; Y177; Size GH(3); From GH?: 1; For SP: 6.5; salvage 1.625; Notes: Leader variant of GyphonHawk §; Modular ship. Limit one per year by any means. (Suggest: Limit one or two in service.)

Rationale: SP = 7/4; SPL = 8-7/4; GHA = 8-7/4 ergo GHL 9-7/4. FEDS further recommends a limit of one or two in service as this Heavy War Cruiser variant was not common and the GHL leader variant should then be a rarely encountered ship.

Orion AR @ E-15: The factors should be 7-6/4-3. Rationale: While the AR has the identical weapons suite, as the BR (7/4), the AR's smaller and weaker engines limits it ability to use engine doubling making it slightly inferior to the BR.

Counter-recommend that the AR factors should be 6-7 / 3-4.
Rationale: Offensive compot is a function (primarily) of having weapons and the available power to use them. Less power = less ability to use weapons effectively. Defensive compot is a question of "How much damage needs to go down-range to make this thing to go bye-bye?" That's (primarily) a function of shields, internals, and point-defense capability. The loss of 4 internals is hardly enough to justify an 18% reduction in total (front + back) defensive compot.

B-19: Fed AVP: The reverse crippled bar should be removed and the AVP reverse designation should have the size letters as was the work done with backside of the diplomats DIP and the same style as pods found in AO backside of Sheet P&Q 2021.

All done. Ton of work to do those large letter backsides (compared to any other counter) as the bar has to be rebuilt first. Remind me in future to put all such counters on the end of a row, and better, all together in one place per empire/color.
