The RTs of course already exist. The planet data will define the planetary bodies for all books.

Anyone who is creating a new race for GF, listen up: if you are using an advantage, disad, or skill from G4e that is not in GPD4, please let me know what it is. And do this as early as possible, please!

The reason is so that I'll know what additional GURPS material is going into GF, and can prepare it for inclusion.

For example, I'm working on the Fralli from PD1; they use the advantage Innate Attack. That is not in GPD4 so it will have to go into GF.

Also don't forget the Innate Attack skill. Last I checked, at least some Fralli had a ranged attack, which would use that skill. And the Surge enhancement, of course.

Just on a quick check of GURPS Powers, there is a new Create advantage that could be twiddled to allow the Fralli to power devices. I just saw it in the store, so I don't now the precise details, but it does seem doable.

Yeah, I gotta get a copy of POWERS. I've been putting it off in case someone bought it for me as a Christmas present.

Didn't happen. :(

Any chance I could get on the playtest list for this? Since I usually wind up spotting glitches in the product once it comes out, I think I could be useful in spotting glitches before the product comes out.

PPPPPPLEEEEEAAAAASEEEEE tell me that this art is the cover for GPD:Fed!

Somehow, I hadn't noticed the 'third' Mark Evans SFU piece currently posted on this page. Obviously, the first two are familiar to everyone, but I've not seen the third on a product, yet.

I would LOVE to see that as the cover for GPD:Fed. It's STUNNING!

(Yeah, bumping an older thread, but it seemed the best fit...)

Yes.

By Loren Knight (Loren) on Saturday, March 27, 2010 - 09:29 pm: Edit

Yeah, I saw that too. Beautiful.

I'm glad Mark is doing well.

I'm currently working on the Racial Profiles for the new races going into FEDS...

I've misplaced the MANTORESE, which CL did they first appear in? Someone remind me, Please.

By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Wednesday, April 07, 2010 - 09:26 am: Edit

There is Flashpoint Mantor in CL#24

Got an email this morning from Steve Jackson, who has finished reading Jean's and John's GURPS FEDS book....

THREE total mis-spelled words.

One mis-placed apostrophe.

One place in the Federation Express article that says Federal Express.

He did note the spot on the first page that says "fill in publication date when approved".

The only bad news is that i may end up in a bidding war with Steve Jackson over which one of us gets to hire Jean.

Congratulations Jean & John on GURPS Feds.

I wonder if this moves up Jean's relocation date? :-)

By Reid Hupach (Gwbison) on Thursday, February 17, 2011 - 06:19 pm: Edit

Well with both companies in Texas maybe Jean can work for both.

Ducks weaves and hides to avoid a griswold

Ahhhh, you do know that SVC and Jean co-ordinate quite well and trying to avoid the griswold will most likely land you in SVC's ammo path...

Thankfully, some of us live near DC these days. All the hot air from there tends to cause shots to go wide or fall short...

By Terry O'Carroll (Terryoc) on Thursday, February 17, 2011 - 09:53 pm: Edit

Actually, if SJ and SVC do get into a bidding war, that might increase the pay rate enough that Jean can afford to retire and move to Amarillo early :) :) :)

[Yes, I'm just kidding]

I think as long as there is an ADB, I will be working with the people I like and care about, for the people I like and care about, and hanging out with you -- the fans I like and care about.

Especially in a different game system!!

My secret plan is to merge ADB and SJG. Can you imagine what would happen with their money and connections and our Paramount contract?

By Randy Blair (Randyblair) on Friday, February 18, 2011 - 11:23 am: Edit

@SVC - THAT would be a dream come true!
