If armor 1 is hit with 50 damage the rotating shield will snap after 40. If direction 4 is then pounded with 45 damage, does the sheild snap back over there after 40, or will it stay at direction 1? |

The armor can rotate once each impulse... that's the key to beating the juggy.
You have to have a ship (or ships) capable of dealing enough damage to cause the shield to snap to their position (shields 1,2,3,5, or 6) and still have other ships capable of firing (in the SAME impulse) through the opening at #4.
So, to recap:
Have your ships in 2 different firing arcs...
Have a ship capable of dealing the required amount of damage (40 points) off any shield other than #4...
Declare all fire from all ships...
Resolve the damage from shield #1 first and hope for at least 40 points...
Once the rotating shield snaps to it's new facing...
resolve all remaining fire (hopefully through the #4 arc)! _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

It will stay. Otherwise there isn't much point in the effect. _________________

So I did beat the juggernaut! Although his plan was to sit and shoot me when I got close enough, so it was easy to attack through his rear arc...
Thanks guys. |
