I believe there was a post somewhere on converting SFB SSD’s into ship cards for FC. Looked around the forum this morning and could not find it. Anyone remember what was changed on the ssd’s to use the cards with FC? _________________ You Can Learn From Anyone, You only need to have an open mind and to listen. |

Hello there fellow Shipmate.
The only official article I have seen on this subject was " Project Z" , that was published in two parts in Captain's Logs #37 and #38.
It has a lot of detail on converting SFB SSD's to FedCom's Squadron and Fleet scales. |

Ok, have to try and get a look at the two Captains logs. But I thought I read a post in this forum as well. _________________ You Can Learn From Anyone, You only need to have an open mind and to listen. |

All three articles are excellent and well written, even if I have to say so myself ...

[pats Mike on the back]
I don't think there were ever any post on the board on how to do it, just some posts from those of us who have done it talking about what we did (and note, not sharing the results, which would violate the web-policy).
I've done cards for the Fed DDF, Monitor, Tug in various flavors, and Fedex Courier/FEX Escort - it was nowhere as easy of a process as I thought it would be (Fleet Scale is a mind-bender sometimes). I wish I had waited, because Mike's CapLog articles would have saved me a lot of brain strain. _________________

Thanks for the help guys. Yea got to be it, posts from those of you who have done it talking about what you did. Didnt think about web-policy, and should have. At the time I was reading through the forum I wasent considering purchasing another game system since I had SFB, till I figured out this was better than SFB. _________________ You Can Learn From Anyone, You only need to have an open mind and to listen. |

I sent the Z1 and Z2 documents to Eric to upload to the site. Watch the "what's new" page and you'll be able to find them in a day or three.
Eric is scheduled to work Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
He doesn't have enough to do today that he cannot do this today, but he might get lost in that fighter page project. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Much obliged Steve.
And finally figured out where I read that thread about SSD conversions, it was from a small forum on the Boardgame Geek site, the first place I read about Fed. Commander after doing a search for the game when I found out about its existance. _________________ You Can Learn From Anyone, You only need to have an open mind and to listen. |

The Z1 and Z2 (SSD conversion) files are on the site now.
Eric also reformatted the older of the FC pages.

You will find the Z1-2 files there. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

It has been reported. Hopefully, it should be fixed the next chance Eric gets. _________________
