Who knows their RoyalHawks from their NovaHawks? I'm currently painting the two minis that ship with Border Box #3 and I'm not sure which one is which.
It's the same base model but the only difference is the arrangement of the two centre warp nacelles. One of them has a 'cube' of metal between the two engines and one of them doesn't. Does anyone know which one is which? _________________ "They say there's no devil, Jim... but there is – right out of hell, I saw it!" |

IF the cube of metal is a weapon or something, I'd just check out the SSD and see which has a weapon there and which doesnt. Some of the Gorn are similar, there's a bump that can be removed to make it into a certain ship, or not. It's like a 360' PH-1 or somsething on the Gorn. Not too sure about the Romulans. |

On the NovaHawks the engines are separate -- the Royal Hawk has the engines together, with the piece of metal --- |

The connecting cube of metal doesn't look like flash and there's nothing on the SSD to indicate otherwise. Anyway no worries it's no big deal as it's purely cosmetic. Unless you're a total anorak you probably wouldn't notice it . I guess that makes me a geek _________________ "They say there's no devil, Jim... but there is – right out of hell, I saw it!" |

Bolo has it right:

If you look at the ship card, the Novahawk is armed with 2 Plasma-S torpedoes. These are small enough to fit in the warp nacelles, hence 2 seperate engines.
The Royalhawk; on the other hand, is armed with a single Plasma-R. The launcher for this device is considerably large and is contained in the box-like structure connecting the 2 nacelles. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
