We will be there as well. Right now the plan is to be in the board room for some time each day to demo the SFU "Train/Economic" board game (Merchants of the Federation). The art and components are shaping up nicely and it will give us a chance to gauge interest.
If anyone is interested in learning Federation Admiral while we are there I am sure we can work something out. We usually have some VBAM related business so should be easy to find.

Terrorwerks is a live-action airsoft zombie/pirate killing game. For $22 (probably more this year) you get an hour of running around out of breath using a fully automtic airsoft machinegun to shoot endless swarms of pirates in a sort of role playing game.
In 2008, I went and played one mission.
In 2009, I went and played one mission, then took Petrick back for a second mission as his birthday present. He protested the whole way there about how silly the game was and by the time the game was over he was pulling the teeth out of one of the actors with a pair of pliers, having forgotten it was a game.
In 2010, I went and played one game, briefed Petrick, who then went back with me and four other guys (Kentaro, Patrick, Bill, and Mike) and the six of us cleaned out the pirate ship.
In 2011, Petrick is planning another Star Fleet Marines team game. The plan is to send me on a sneaky recon mission on Thursday, then take a team of SFU players back there on Friday afternoon. He wants everybody to wear bluejeans and a black shirt, and we're shopping the military discount stores for some kind of cheap distinctive headgear. We will take up to ten people (you do have to buy your own ticket, but this is the most fun you will ever have with your clothes on). You must understand. We're not going on an "every man for himself -- I paid $22 and I'm going to do my own thing" game. You can do that for youself sometime OTHER than when Petrick is leading the SFU team into the battlespace. If you go with Petrick, you WILL obey his orders immediately, without question or argument. We will do this like the real military does it (which is why real military people are first in line for the team, but we'll take anyone who has the guts to face down sword-swinging pirate zombies).
If you're going to Origins and would be interested in joining Combat Team Petrick, contact him at rules@starfleetgames.com _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Will ADB have the full lineup of miniatures, including individual ships, at Origins?
If not, can I put in requests for individual ships?
If so, by when should I put in such a request?
Thanks. |

Tey probably will not have ALL the individual minis avaialble as there is limited room in the cargo freighter used to transport the Steve's to Columbus. They will have many of the more popular minis there...
Of course, there is always the sure-fire way! A few weeks before Origins, Leanna always adds "Pick up at Origins" to the shipment options at the online store.
Anything you order online will be delivered to you at the Sing-along on Wednesday night. Nicely packaged and ready for everyone to Ooh and Aah over. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Jon, Scoutdad's suggestion is the absolute best way to make sure that a specific mini gets to you. At the booth, we have a very slim selection, focusing on popular and new minis. And the challenged starships, of course! _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor

Just order quickly.
Not only is there a space limit... there is an absolute tonnage limit as well. And you're going to be competing with other miniature fanatics ( ) for that critical mass. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Regarding ordering and the picking up of miniatures at Origins -
Are there any ships in the 2400 series that are NOT available individually? Ships that I'd have to buy a squadron or border box in order to get a hold of? As an example, I just read a post from SVC that strongly suggests I can't buy one of the ships out of that Squadron 91 box.
Or, is there an individual ship listing somewhere?
(Only interested in the "Starter Box Races" at the moment) |

Jon Squadron Box 91 is a rare duck. It is actually plastic injection molded not spun cast like the rest of the line. And because of the way Franz Joseph Designs made the mold it is a all or none process. I can not think of any other Starline Miniatures in probuction that ADB will not sell individually. That said there is some form of metal miniatures for Every thing in the 91 Box. You would have to go with a DNG instead of a FJD DN or a LTT instead of a FJD Tug, but the general class of ship is out there.
As far as a ship list go to the store front on starfleetgames.com and all the ships are listed by race. If you want to know what's in a Squadron I am positive the descriptions list everything in them. _________________ -Dal

The plastic Tug is available individually, and there is no metal one. So many molds were made in the past, and of course the CAs and DNs sold better than EVERYTHING else. So there are a TON of Tugs leftover. _________________ O.G. OPTIMUS

Correct, any ship (except the ships in Box 91) is available separately for Origins pickup, even if it's not listed as such. The other exception is the individual pieces out of the kit bash packs, assuming we still have any of those left. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

So, it is just over a month until Origins. I've changed my time of arrival to Tuesday evening so I should be my usual perky self on Wednesday.
Who will I see on Wednesday? _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor
