Captain Jack thinks we should get as much information out of this lady in black as we can, and then let the nomad verify that she will not cause anyone trouble, ever again.
Since we're "hot", I do have a suggestion...
"You know, we could go down to the spaceport and see about getting work on an outgoing ship to get out of the area. Another option would be to talk with Rokerig and see if there is an expeditions we could help out with." mentions Captain Jack. |

"Yeah lets get the artifact back to Moonkulll and then get off planet. Perhaps he can help smuggle us off planet. The feds will probably be looking for us at the spaceport. Not that I trust the Klingon but we really do not have many options." |

Rokerig asks... "are you guys sure you just want to give the thing to Muankaal? He's obviously gone to great lengths here. Perhaps it is far more valuable than what he's paying you...." _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

"We've got a contract. I'm not real sure how much we should ask for a bonus, though. It's pretty apparent he was withholding information from us, and you're right, there's a lot of fishy things going on.
"I think we should hide it somewhere, and then talk to him. See what sort of deal we can get. I don't like renegotiating a contract, but if we present it as penalty for not being honest in the first place, that's different. It's his fault, and he still gets the contract completed." |

"Ya know Fred is right. We have been tricked before. I don't trust Klingons. Eventhough he helped us get in he could just as easily double cross us. Let's tread carefully here." |

Typically, if he really wanted us dead, being a who he is, we would already be dead. Business Klingons tend to be efficient that way. |
Okay, it worked. You are all sufficiently discreet that you encounter no problems.
Muankaal thanks you for your efforts when he takes the artifact and hands you the cash. He mentions that his personal Corvette will be talking off soon-- he's got additional artifact related business to attend to... though it could lead across the Klingon border depending on how things pan out.
"If you're interested in the usual package deal of action, adventure, and excitement-- not to mention being far away from the local authorities-- then please meet me at docking bay 94 in two hours."
And with that... he gets into his black air-car. It soundlessly pulls away.... _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

Rolling against Streetwise 13 and... well... this is Donjebruche... and you guys are street savvy. There is a place nearby where you can pick up a few things. You can be in and out in time to rendezvous with Muankaal if that's what you wish.
[GM note: You have hard currency on you from getting paid; that's your main limitation. I will roll for availability based on your streetwise success level that I just rolled. Y'all got eights, so you can get just about anything that is consistent with the PD setting-- however, weird or outlandish items will get a penalty to the chance of availability. I have both Ultra Tech and High Tech for 4e GURPS in addition to the GURPS PD books.] _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

There is a flash of light in the distance... and seconds later a deep rumbling sound.
The breeze kicks up to the point where stray pieces of trash get picked up and blown away in the wind.
Rokerig's steely eye gazes to the west where the yellowsun is beginning to set. "Storm's a coming," he says. _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

You head through the grungy streets to the nomad quarter.
There is a bulk cargo container decorated with native style tapestries and rugs. There are numerous tarps strung around it and dozens of merchants hawking their wares.
You go inside and say all the right things. Through several sets of curtains and stringed beads you come to the inner sanctum. You see a selection of knives, guns, and surplus military equipment in varying conditions.
Skexis finds both heavy and medium combat armor in his size. Skexis points to the heavy combat armor and a stodgy nomad wearing a derby grunts at him: "5,000 credits," he demands.
Note: properly fitted and with air tanks... the combat armor can function as a Vacc suit. If you have naval training anyway. Skexis is clueless enough about this he unlikely to get all of the pieces. Paul Atreides putting on a stillsuit for the first time he is not...! Skexis has no clue... but if he had any friends with him that have a naval background of any kind, they would notice his lack of familiarity with the item. [Also... I meant to make those d6 rolls be for 3-6 being success and wrote it up wrong. It was 2-6 for the Streetwise successes... and shifted to 3-6 due to the sizing issues. Fortunately... you're pretty near the Kzinti border and Donjebruche is really cosmopolitan.] _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

A Klingon warrior perusing equipment notices Captain Jack. Coincidentally, it's the same guy that has drunk with him in the past.
"Ah, el capitan...! Excuse me, but I was looking for a souvenir to take back to the Empire. Do you see anything here that would be a particularly good bargain...? (My knowledge of Federation culture is not particularly sophisticated...." _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

Captain Jack looks around the "shop" (if you can call it that) looking for something appropriate to suggest for the his Klingon "friend"... |

Captain Jack sees... a Fralli pole whip, a Tellarite hunting knife, some unusual copper tinted crystals from local world's mines, and a basket of home-made scented soaps from the Groenveldt. _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

Captain Jack points out the Fralli pole whip and smiles to the klingon, and he also points out the Tellarite hunting knife, and explains: "It takes a good knife to get through thick and stubborn Tellarite hide... " |
