hey,

I am rather new to fed commander but I enjoyed talking to folks at origins. Last night I went through my SFB stuff from the 80's. I found my old tactics manual. Has anyone thought of doing one of these for FC?

As far as I know there's one 'in the pipeline', but the length of the pipe is not yet known Wink

Meantime, you might want to browse the Tactics forum; there are some interesting ideas mooted here.

Welcome to the boards, bolenbr. A lot of the stuff in the Tactics Manual for SFB also applies to FC, since the games are so similar. And there are tactics articles in Captain's Log since #33 or so.

I saw fighters for FC, are there the PF ships as well?

I just ordered the Star Fleet Battles Tactics Manual. Since the two games are similar (but not exactly alike) it should be a help for the novice (like me) who hasn't played since the 1980s.
