I'm telling you folks, if you want to go with the 2500's, I have a solution that will make them work with SFB and Fed Com games using magnetic stands. I'm just so short on time though, I haven't been able to take pics. I've shared this idea with the now forming Orlando Battle Group. I'm so short on time right now, I feel like a one legged cat, trying to bury turds on a frozen pond!
Thank you so much, Scoutdad, for posting those images!!!!!! It answers many questions I had about them that I was afraid to post here! |

Is that the actual stand that came with the 2500? Would a standard ADB stand work with the 2500? |

That is the Mongoose stand.
The answer to your "question" Burt, is yes. The standard ADB flight stand will fit the hole in the Mongoose mini - if you use the all plastic stand. In order to use the stand with the metal peg, you'll need to drill out the stand hole a bit.
The Mongoose stand works so much better for ACTA for several reasons. Cheif among them, the ability to turn the mini on the stand w/o moving the stand.
Fortunately, I'm a pretty smart guy and have already figured out how to adapt them to work with rare earth magnets. I will prep the first two dozen or so Mongoose stands and then will adapt all future ST2400 minis (and teh current crop as needed) so that I can interchange them at will. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Nice job Tony!
@UK miniature expert guys - anyone know a good source for the rare earth magnet stands in the UK? _________________ Nothing is quite as persuasive as a disruptor pistol on slow burn and a rotisserie...... |
