Hey all--
Looking at a standard map panel, suppose ships in hexes 34 and 45 wish to exchange fire. Hex 35 is an asteroid hex, hex 44 is not. Does hex 35 affect direct fire weapons as described in 6B3? or is there a clear line of sight? _________________ Damn, these dice are cold! |

No, hex 35 does not effect line-of-sight.
The procedure for LOS is defined as:
...draw a line from teh center of the firers hex to the center of the target hex (note: center of hex, not location of weapon mount on mini). If the line passes through an asteroid hex (or more than one), the appropriate modifiers apply.
I can't find the exact reference, but in the situation you describe, the LOS runs along the edge of an asteroid hex and along the edge of a clear hex; ergo, no effect. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

That's correct.
Sorry for the delay. Honestly, it kinda got lost in the shuffle for me. _________________

There are no stupid questions, except the unasked ones. The delay in answering your question was our fault.
And yes, burn the heretic at the stake and then bury his ashes in lime. _________________

To paraphrase George Carlin, any group that takes itself too seriously is fair game for ridicule He also said anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone driving faster than you is a maniac See? Now he's dead. I can appreciate a little good-natured ribbing, but at my house FC is a nice distraction from chemo and insulin And if you want to burn me, you have to catch me first _________________ Damn, these dice are cold! |
