I have been working on a campaign setting involving 1000 point fleets fighting multiple engagements over a period of weeks.
Each campaign week I want to generate random scenarios for each side to commit some of their forces to. I should mention that I drew this up intending to use fleet scale ships and the nasty frame damage option rule so ships die a lot.
My first one is called patrol and does grant the winner an intelligence report about his opponents deployments in a future action.
Patrol
location. D6 1-2 a normal 1 hex planet planet, 3 An asteroid belt 4 a gas giant 5-6 deep space
Each side may commit no more then two ships and no ship may be larger then a battle cruiser. Max BPV 200 Set up 21 hex's away from objective board. Map is floating but only the objective map panel counts for scoring.
The objective is to control a center map panel. at the end of each turn the side with more "lite" ships in a whole hex of the objective board gets 1 point. First side to 3 wins or 10 turns.
A lite ship is defined as light cruiser / war cruiser or smaller.
Please let me know what you think and if there are any loop holes you can think of.
Thank you. |
