I know it's a bit hinky to post on one forum about another, but I know some folks frequent both.

I've been trying to create an account on MJ12, but it wont let me, saying "this email account does not exist" I use a gmail account. I tried to send a message to admin, but it sent it back saying mail isn't accepted from this account.

Do I just need to create a new email account?

We don't allow gmail for account registration, because of spambot problems. If you send me a PM with your email address, I will add an exception for it.
