I think I'm glad I'm not in the middle of that. Quite a standoff.

Great work as always Adam. |

				| Looks great. One comment though. The 3 Seltorians on the right side of the picture look to be flying in formation. The others look like they stopped for a few drinks before the battle. It looks a little 'haphazard' I guess, where at least all the Tholians are at different angles. |

toastie: my initial pass at this cover had all the ships lined up in a perfect military parade formation. And it looked boring and static as hell. Even though this layout is a bit haphazard, it makes everything look a bit more lively and interesting. And it hints at the chaos that will break out once battle is joined.

Oh, its not that I think they should be in formation, its that I think they all shouldn't be. The three on the right just look a little out of place because they are approximately aligned. And if I didn't make it clear, I think they all look fantastic. BTW, what is the Seltorian ship on the far left top? It looks like it has 5 engines. I don't have Tholian attck yet.. |

It's the Seltorian New Heavy Cruiser. It's a light cruiser with 2 additional mini-booms in the side sockets and a frigate engine attached to each of them. _________________ The innocent shall suffer...BIG TIME. |

				| Great Picture as always Adam. Though I do have a questions about the color of the Tholians. The ships seem to be brown and bright red. I thought Tholian ships were more copper with a dark red. |

				Artistic variety.

You'll find minor variations in the way that ships are done. Sometimes Klingon ships are grey. Sometimes they're blue-grey. Sometimes they're green. They're the best known for this sort of thing, but it exists to a certain extent among any depictions of the ships of the various races. |

It's about 2/3's artistic license and 1/3 outdated models. I'm in the process of re-doing all my models right now, but I would have killed myself if I had attempted to remake ALL of these ships in time for this cover.

This is an example of how my updated Tholian ships look:
