If you have to wait a whole turn (32 Impulses) in SFB to do things like repair / reload Fighter/Shuttle after it landed, wouldn't that apply to other actions like transferring after ships docked??????

Well, considering that the ship is on the ground for all 8 impulses and for nearly the entire ...

So why are you letting them get to range 8 and in arc? :?

That logic has to be the same as fighting a Hydran with stingers and wondering why when your ship gets within range 1 of the Stingers you don't have a ship anymore.
What Storey said.

Also not every race can effectively stay away and still ...

While I can see the strengths of photons I actually don't like them at all. I think the huge damage/huge miss chance with a 2 turn cycle kills it in terms of general playability and game design for any small engagement.

Randomness in games needs to satisfy certain criteria to be a success: either ...

So, fundamentally, doing Borders of Madness has no direct bearing on doing a proper Attack style product (that you likely want), but rather is competition for a Briefing style product you probably don't care about.
Interesting. Ok then the only potential downsides are limited sales (sliver of ...

However, to use the photons, you must make a power investiture before you see what your opponents are doing. And, you have to spend that power every turn whether you use the weapon or not. This reduces their tactical utility, where weapons that don't requiring arming, can have decisions made about ...

As for SFB players, I guess the primary resentment is that they view every FC product as an SFB product that isn't made. In other words, FC is a direct threat to the very existence of SFB.
The same is true of BoM vs FC. Every BoM product made is a missed opportunity to make an FC product (or an ...

2) Don't expect any to change. There have been a couple mistakes (e.g. LDR CA) and a couple likely mistakes (e.g. Tholian DD) . But, for the most part, the point values are what they are.

I love using the Tholian DD in groups of three. I'd not heard that it was a likely mistake. I hope the cost ...

Yeah, the fighter pickup rules were changed to be relative to the "now" speed based on hexes moved. Seems like this is also a candidate for that.

One movement point but a minimum of 1 power if I recall correctly.

3E1d (the rule about taking last boxes on frame) specifically refers to damage coming from the DAC so I am thinking no.

The question this raises in my mind is if an energy monster can do interstellar travel. If it can and you can somehow get it to chase you at FTL speeds then all of your points could be interesting discussions.

If they can't go FTL and/or they can't travel between stars then unfortunately it ends ...

After quite a bit of self reflection I probably won't be dipping into PDF ships until ISC or Andro ones come out. I feel like I have "enough" of the other empires to play whatever sort of game I want to. At least "enough" that the added hassle of self-lamination isn't worth it to me.

If more packs ...

And special sensors have been labeled BoM. You either are or are not BoM, there're no halfsies.

Is Andromedan (or ISC) Attack on the cards (pun intended)? If not, an Andro pack would be nice for stuff like the Dominatrix ( what a name for a ship ;) ) and the other DOM/INT/COQ non-BoM variants plus the Viper.
Other than the DDL and scout/fighter/tug variants I can't find any other ISC ships ...

I'm pretty sure a full 8 impulse turn is less than 1 second.
