While I can see the strengths of photons I actually don't like them at all. I think the huge damage/huge miss chance with a 2 turn cycle kills it in terms of general playability and game design for any small engagement.

Yeah, the fighter pickup rules were changed to be relative to the "now" speed based on hexes moved. Seems like this is also a candidate for that.mjwest wrote:I do plan on checking on that. After quite a bit of self reflection I probably won't be dipping into PDF ships until ISC or Andro ones come out. I feel like I have "enough" of the other empires to play whatever sort of game I want to. At least "enough" that the added hassle of self-lamination isn't worth it to me.

Is Andromedan (or ISC) Attack on the cards (pun intended)? If not, an Andro pack would be nice for stuff like the Dominatrix ( what a name for a ship ;) ) and the other DOM/INT/COQ non-BoM variants plus the Viper.
