I have just received FC Klingon Border :D Really looking forward to giving it a good go. The copy I got has version 6 rules, which I am hoping are the most up-to-date.

I was wondering how I find more scenarios. Also, are there any solo rules available, so I can test out the game when I can't find ...

When you buy from a game store, they may have had the game sitting there for a few months -- the same is true of distributors. Still, the CRUL will bring any rulebook up to date.
Sorry for being a bit dim, but what is the CRUL?

Thanks for all the replies - looks like it is Klingon Border then! Do I need to get the Master Rulebook for the most uptodate rules?

Thanks. Could you transpose the SFB rules over? I have a copy of SFB Captain's Basic Edition, I think, though never actually played it.

Yes, buy it...BUY IT ALL!!!!!!

Just kidding, but seriously: Klingon Border is a good place to start. It is what I started with. I then branched out and bought Romulan Space (it was more economical than buying some duplicate stuff in Romulan Border), the Reference ...

What to buy?

Thinking of buying into FC. Always like Klingons, so thought the Klingon Border would be the best - I presume that is as good a place as anywhere to start?. Anything else I need to get with it? Do I need to buy the Reference Rule book as well, to get uptodate rules? What about Booster packs? Also ...

Though I am a bit worried that with all the lovely things you can buy, it might be a bit of a money-pit!!!!
Ah, but aren't all hobbies supposed to be money pits!? I mean, it can't be a real hobby if it isn't a drain on the wallet ...

Too true :D Shame I have so many game hobbies - from RPG's ...

The only problem I had with the stacking was that if you had 3 or less ships, then to maximise the firepower against a shield you were foolish not to stack the three ships together. To my mind this just created a sort of super-ship, which didn't feel that atmospheric as opposed to having seperate ...

Thnaks for getting back to me so quick.

What about having taking damage if a ship that you are stacked with explodes? That might make it less attractive.

Are there any house rules to limit the effectivness of stacking? I played a test game with someone else and, while I enjoyed the game, I didn't like it that the best tactic with 3 undamaged ships was just to stack them - it just didn't seem right to me. I am contemplating buying the game for myself ...
