Video of gameplay?

Post by biomajor09 »

Hi everyone, I am new to the federation commander universe, I bought both klingon and romulan border. My girlfriend and I are trying to teach ourselves how to play and yes I have read the first mission, the rule book it came with and the play by play in communique #2. I am a visual learner and it would be easier for all the noobs out there like me if there was an little 10 -15 min video of someone actually playing the game (I have searched youtube endlessly and have been unsucessful). The main problem we are having is the combat phase (i.e plasma torpedoes) and how that works and direct fire weapons and the allocation chart they give you.

What does everything think about the idea?

Personally I see 10 mins as a bit short for what you need --

Another possibility, if you could find a willing player/instructor, is for him/her to set up web cam session--
Send questions, the instructor provides an answer and show it to you in live action --

Using system only to send video out, several ppl could receive the signal and learn at the same time --

MSN msgr or other chat program that works with a cam should satisfy the requirement --

I never really thought of a web cam but that is a good idea. If ten minutes is to long maybe break it up into video section. i.e first week video of movement next week weapons etc. Is there anyone out there possibly willing to be a video teacher? Also the videos could be a good way for the web site to showcase the game and show what it is all about.
