Multiple seeking weapons - how many salvos?

Post by silent bob »

Another question we had come up tonight.
if you get hit in the same shield during the same impulse by 2 or more seeking weapons (be it drones, plasma whatever) does it count as one salvo for battery reinforcement or a seperate salvo for each individual seeking weapon?

I think only direct fire weapons can be grouped.

(3A4) says (in part), "A volley consists of all of the damage resulting from either: (1) all of the Seeking Weapons which strike a single shield during a single Impulse or (2) all of the Direct-Fire Weapons fired by a single ship..."

This indicates that, for seeking weapons, a volley consists of every seeking weapon that strikes a single shield during an Impulse. So, even seeking weapons from different launching ships, if they strike a common target through the same shield in the same Impulse, would be treated as one volley.

Though, you'd hope you have destroyed enough of the seeking weapons so you could ingnore that rule.
