Great job there, Dan. I like the use of the highlighting on the finer details.

Next question: What color did you use as a base coat? I've never seen a Hydran with that shade before.

The base colour is made by Miniature Paints, and is simply called 'Blue-Grey'. I used to use Humbrol enamels' NATO Petroleum Blue, but I've moved pretty much entirely to acrylics now.

I use the same colour, mixed with about 30% white, as a base coat for my Klingons, as with C5 IKV Admiral Kurlt...

Very nice. The lines on the Overlord are incredible. How did you get them that straight and consistent?

They're done by hand...very carefully! I've been painting SFB minis since the early '80's with varying levels of success.
