Question about the scenario: Sacred

This scenario says the kzinti fleet is a BC, CM, FF. The Lyran fleet is CA, FF, DD. I belive that the Lyran DD should be a CW, as the scenario is unbalanced the way it is written. Am I correct?

The original SFB scenario, (SH78.0) from Module R3, has these ships:
Kzinti: BC, CL+, DD
Lyran: CA, FF, DD

Since the Kzinti DD does not exist in FC (yet), I replaced it with a DW.

Replacing the CL with a CM, and downgrading the DD/DW to an FF keeps it in line with the original scenario's ship lineup.

So, I would have to say that the lineup currently in the scenario is directly compatible with the original scenario.

But the Lyrans are badly outmatched. After winning the last few games with my opponent, I wouldn't want to make him feel any worse by playing a scenario where he was disadvantaged.

Then again, even if the scenario itself is unbalanced, ABD is not going to come to my door and make me play the way it is written.

Not so sure it is, alot of the Kzini ships are so-so for their class the FF esp. so. ESG's eat drones for breakfeast, so I am not sure it is as bad as you feel it is.

If you feel its so tilted to the Kzinti, then you as the more experienced player should play the Lyran ---

But then again, so far, haven't seen you tell us you play without taking any advantage you could ---

Again, I was just explaining how the ship list was created, and why it wasn't "wrong".

However, your situation is your situation. If you feel you need to replace the DD on your opponents side with a CW, then please do so!

ESG's are effective against Drones, and that does leave the lyrans at a stronger direct fire poisition. Hmm...

Well thank you everybody for answering and I think I see that the Lyrans have at winning now.
