I like the power abosrber panel texture and the effect when it's being hit. Are the red and green lights under the Fed (CX?) saucer meant to be equivalent to navigation lights? If so, they're the wrong way around - if not, ignore this comment.

Is the NCL is the Red Shirt of Fed Com?
Well, ALL war cruisers are like this, especially in fleet battles. They have the punch of a cruiser that can be mission killed by a fleet strike.
It is just that the NCL has always been my favorite ship in the SFU. It is always a shame to see those beauty shots of the ship get all covered up by those explosion graphics.

That's true, especially after so much time is put into making a model of the ship in question, just to have it covered in fire and flames as another poor NCL bites the dust...

They are nav lights. At least on the schematics they are, anyway. But still the artwork is first class as always, and I feel really adds to the value of ADB product lines.
Well spotted, Dave. Not part of an aviation family are you, perchance?

Not at all... Ships have navigation lights too, of course, but then they are pretty much done the same as they are in aircraft. Having them the wrong way around could be rather dangerous with a ship or plane, though with a starship, the distances involved are so great that navigation lights are probably fairly superfluous anyway...
