leisure games (UK) address

Post by Targ »

The address for Leisure Games (london) in the european information link from the front page of the main S.F.U site is out of date. This I discovered by a combination of being one of the few people in the western world who still uses the mail service to post their orders, and laziness. I had an order to send off to them that been written previously and to get the address I went to the european info link ( as I do not have leisure Games on my favourites ). After a long wait hearing nothing from them, which is unusual, my order was returned to sender via Belfast ( Northern Ireland, who knows....that is the British postal system for you! :? ). Anyway, enough of my drivel, here is the proper address which is taken from their actual site:

100 Ballards Lane
Finchley
London
N3 2DN

This probably has not been picked up before for the above reason and the fact that judging by the two addresses their new premises is opposite the old one!

one final note: the telephone number and weblink on the F.S.U are fine.

Yes, I know, it needs to be updated, but the web master for the Legacy Site has been very ill and in the hospital for well over a month now. As our new graphics guy gets the feel of things, these are things (updating addresses) which will be done.

Presumably their new place is different size - hopefully bigger than the previous store as this would be an indicator of business going well for them!

Hi davec,

yup, the shop is the same width, but much deeper than the old store.

I think they are doing fine, they have a thriving mail order business as well as the brick and mortar store, plus they attend quite a few UK conventions as a vendor.

That's always good to hear. This day and age, many useful local retailers (such as game and model shops) are disappearing due to the prevelance of online retail but also due to the hobbies becoming less popular for various reasons, the rise of computer games being one of these (and in the case of model building, the age restrictions on solvent based glue - even polystyrene cement which really isn't sniffable - stops children taking up a once popular childhood pastime).
