Fed Ex Couriers... just for Will

Post by Scoutdad »

I finished my fisrt two Fed Ex Couriers a couple of months ago, but have not bothered to photograph them... even though I promised djdood that I would.
Here are both of them together:

yes... my wife sells Mary Kay products, so this was painted for her...

More photos of it will be posted in the next update:

Those look awesome Tony. I love the "Bandit" firebird.

Just for me - I feel all special and New Years-ey now. :)

Glad you like it.. that sucker was a challenge. The whole shebang was painted before I did the bird the first time... then it got "dipped" cause the bird looked like it was giving me one.
The next two times... I base coated with black, did the bird, (didn't like it once and re "dipped" it), after the second go 'round, I was happy with the bird and the other details were then painted.

I thought the bird was a decal. Even more kudos to you.

Nope. I tried to find one small enough, but couldn't.
If I had an ALPS printer, I could have made one - but with just the color laser-jet, it wouldn't work out right.

Although... I guess I could have done one on white paper... cut it out as closely as possible... and then painted black over any white outlines that still showed after application.

Meh, leave it to me to find an easy way... after I've already done it the hard way... 3 TIMES!
