I'm thinking about making a Fed. DDL out of a BC saucer and a SC engine I have lying around. The deflector dish hanging down under the saucer would block the torpedo launcher on the neck though, so I'm thinking I'll either move it to the front edge of the saucer or just leave it off entirely.
Which would be 'better'? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'd take a slightly different route...
I'd remove the "huge, honkin' sensor dish of enemy detectin', +5" and replace it with a more modest version from the kitbash pack.
That way, you still get a sensor dish, but you've also cleared your fire zone...
Unlike the poor pitiful pilot of the hapless F-18 temporarily assigned to a Federation LTT.
