This ship is actually on the cover of Captain's Log 31, Shield of the Federation but its not available in pewter and only as part of the plastic federation Zocchi fleet box. Not sold individually.
Considering this is one of the most common and important ships in Star Fleet Battles, isn't it time this ship got re-cast in pewter models so we can buy them? Personally I feel they look a lot better than the regular Federation Frigates we have to work with.

There are plans to do a metal Fed DD (it's in line behind some other projects on they guy's workbench). I know, because I helped arrange the source metal engine. The saucers already exist in metal, obviously.
One thing though, the Fed Destroyer in the SFU (and from the source FJS Tech Manual) is the Saladin-class, not Halsey. That Halsey-class naming is likely something Vance is proposing in his work on the Leanna's Fighting Starships project (probably for the DE Escort Destroyer refit).

It is available in the Federation Fleet Box #2 (Zocchi plastic) set. You get a CA, DN, Tug, DD and a SC (almost a clone miniature wise to the DD).
