Rounded bases that came with starline 2300 minis
I got a bunch of 2300 line minis and they came with attractive rounded bugled plastic bases. I think I prefer these to the recent 2400 ones.
All the minis I got from the Starline 2400 line came with flat ones. How do you get the rounded plastic ones? Is it possible to make an request when ordering from this site?

Ral Partha's Crimson Skies minis used to come with the bases you're talking about, they're Iron Wind Metals now but I don't see those bases available by themselves. Their Crimson Skies figures came with that type base in clear.

Personally, I've picked up as many of the old clear stands with Firing Arc covers from Lou Zocchi -- For large heavy ships, I've modified the B-10 base to screw on (many others did their version for that purpose) ---
Maybe someone in the know can post photos and links on the Cart to each type of base ---

The two Round top hex bases I have are for non-ADB ships. One is a FASA Romulan Graceful Flyer and the other...well I'm not sure where it came from but it's in my miniature box.
I still have some of the old clear stands that come with the paper shield/firing arc covers which I use for the retro look.

I got many of my Zocchi bases from ADB, just need to get off my duff and paint more minis so I would have a need more of them ----
There must be a 1/2 dozen different stands under my amateur paint jobs, I really need to get into gear and work on more, organize better, at least to get each fleet on the same type stands ---

Went to the first several NashCons, but rapidly became turned off by the play style of the persons running the games I enjoyed playng.
Since then, my tastes have changes - I probably should go back since HMGS-Midsouth typically runs the type of events that I have recently decided I like.
