semperatis wrote:Ok then dr,here are the Fireballs, hope you like them. The comic/mag that I remember it appearing in was the Look and Learn,circa 1965.

If you need help as to what models are what,just pm me,and I can let you know.( I might have pics)

Those Fireballs do look rather splendid!

Hmm... yes, I think you are right, I do remember Look and Learn. But I believe that either Ranger took over, or Ranger was the original and the two comics merged. It's all a bit vague now, but Iremember it being somewhere in the picture!

Thanks, I'll look throught the catalogue. I have some of the models anyway. I think your frigate was the only "Fed" that I hadn't managed to match the catalogue listing to a mini

The Ranger comic began in 1965,as a companion comic to look & learn,but it wasn't successful,running to only 40 issues,when it was incorporated back into the L&L. Look & Learn ran from Jan '62 to April '82. The Trigan Empire was it's most popular series ever,running for a staggering 854 issues. Yes,the Trigan Empire did start off in the Ranger comic.

Ah... either your memory is a lot better than mine, or you've done good research! :)

There was a good comic about a space cadet class too. Don't think I ever saw that one republished.

Excellent minis mate, I've bought quite a few of them from Ian at Irregualar over the years.

I took that a bit too literally and used your hangar pods to perpetrate this model of the Galleon-class carrier HMS Ark Royal;

The central hull ended up as the core of this Babylon 5 Cotten-class fleet tender, EAS Pericles;

It should have been called a Blackstar cruiser,but Ian got it wrong,and called it a Liner.

I love the kitbashes Dan,they really do look good. 8)

Here's the prototype of the gullwing type.I wasn't too happy with this model,which is why I re-made it as a cross between a D-2 and the gullwing.

Very nice.
Yet again, at first glance I thought it was an ADB mini - you have some pretty formidable scratch-building skills to duplicate so closely.
