Nowhere near bankrupt. You go bankrupt when you owe money, don't have money, cannot borrow money, and the bailout didn't come.

We don't borrow money. No debt. We can always go borrow money so even with no money we have money.

I have a plan to get booster 91 out for Origins. I don't think there is time to start the other ones cold but I will look at them.

I will also be buying at Origins myself.

It will be my first Origins and you will have a customer. Considering I'm only 20 I have 40 - 60 more years of Federation Commander in me and I'll keep buying products.

One question for us 20 year olds though, what will happen to the company in 20 - 30 years? I mean SVC won't live forever - though I want him to.

Jean probably has his DNA on file and can make clones when necessary.

There are three options in the works...

1) Cloning. Hey, it worked with Dolly the sheep... and with Gov. Arnold.

2) Cyborgs. Not sure if we go with the 'Borg version... or again, with Gov. Arnold's SkyNet version.

3) Library of Skulls... ala Land of the Lost an the Sleestak... no GOv. Arnold there...

Once ADB upgrades from Macs to the Daystrom M-5 multitronic unit, there shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah there is no guarantee that SVC's clone won't turn out completely un-interested in ADB and go do something else instead.

In any event, clones will take at least 18-20 years to fully mature and lead ADB in which case he needs to start NOW - but alas no such technology exists as of yet and there are human rights ethical concerns.

The future looks dark indeed. :(

Remeber Dolly the sheep died early (oh, and pop quiz: Know where it got that name?). Even if we could do it, there are ethical and health concerns. I'm only 12, , so I understand DorianGray's worry. Mabey SVC will have someone to pass it too. Hopefully he'll live long enough that he won't have to. I mean, all game production has to end sometime... not that I want it to.

There's always that classic TOS episode "Spock's Brain"... maybe there are some possibilities there...

I don't know. ADB is so much of SVC, essentially SVC is the heart and soul of ADB so if he dies at age like 99 or whatever I feel that ADB will go down with him.

I hope he has a succession plan all mapped out so it won't happen. Remember when Alexander the Great died, everything went to hell.

You guys do realize it's pretty tacky to be discussing someone's demise, on a bbs that they pay to provide?

Without a doubt, SVC is the heart and soul of the SFU. It's his baby. I wish him health and long life and hope for many more products in the years to come. To speak of things the other way is just negative and morose.

I've already gotten more than what I would have asked for out of FC, so I have to agree with DJ's comments. Live Long and Prosper, SVC!
