New Orion Paint Scheme

Post by OGOPTIMUS »

Here’s my first Orion ship… a Light Raider. Inspired by some of Adam Turner’s artwork, it’s my first non-standard paint scheme. And it’s my first attempt at flames on a miniature.

It’s rather bright, I know, but that’s because I haven’t hit it with a matte finish yet. And I need to fix up the starboard nacelle. And I still have to put on a decal or two. I’m mulling over the scheme now, wondering if it’s final or if I want to strip it.

Let me know what you all think!

Nice job! Flames are hard - I haven't gone there yet.

not bad, Paul.
The flames on my first Orion squadron started out white... but they were just too bright, so I toned 'em down a bit with orange and yellow.

I tried something similar with one of my CRs...

Your white flames look great. I can't paint a straight line to save my life, so flames were easy.
