No; actually the first one looks like the second one! My apologies… I replaced the first graphic on my web site with the second, forgetting that I had a reference to the same place in the earlier post. The difference between the two is that the first showed a straight white cross with the red dot at the center. The second is more of a Maltese cross.
Please keep in mind that the finished insignia will be about ¼ inch across. If there is too much detail, it can look muddled.
(As an example, you can look at the Federation banners on my diplomatic cruiser. It looked mighty cool at 2 inches, but kinda funky at tiny starship scale.)

May I make another suggestion? Would it be possible to make the Klingon trefoils and scripts on the decals smaller? The size they are seem a bit too big to me.
The size of the trefoil asthey are now would look good on the underside of the big D series, C series and B10 hulls, but they could be about 50% smaller for the upper wing trefoils and scripts.
What do other people think?

Klingon Trefoil size
I don't think that would be a problem... I was thinking the same thing. I'll post a message when I've finished them.
Also, new this week:
Four new Kzinti strips on white decal film:
BB, DN, CBH, CVS, TT
CA/CM
DDWs
Multi-colored, multi-width stripes (for frigates or other ships)
I've added several new photos to the gallery, including one of battlecruisers with battle damage and field repairs. These can be found here:

Thanks!

Important Caveat
In my exuberance to satisfy your Lyran's requirements, one detail slipped my mind... the white background. The Lyrans are currently printed on clear decal film, which means the "white" field will actually be transparent. I could print this strip on white film, but that requires trimming the decal right up to the image edge. It is devilishly hard to cut out curved decals on white film. One alternative would be to paint a white background on the ship, where the insignia will be applied. This may not be "canon," but will solve the problem, at least until I get my ALPS printer.
Thanks!

Hi Charles!
The question is, do you want it? From my perspective, I'm happy to produce whatever decals that you, the consumer, wants (send me the image, my email address is on my profile). If it's different than the one Seve gave me, even if it's your own design, I can make it for you.
Going forward, if anyone needs a specific insignia they've seen in an ADB publication, let me know, and I'll pass it on to Steve. I don't mean to speak for him, but he probably has better things to do than be bombarded by requests for images, and then track them down and send them out. I'll be happy to act as a single point of contact and share the results with the group.
Thanks!
Bob
