I didn't see a mini in the store like this so I wanted to ask,
Has anyone taken the saucer and third engine from Federation DNL and put it on the Hull and Rear Nacelles of the Federation Fast Cruiser to make an Fast DN similar to the original design DN with the angled rear nacelles rather than the horizontal rear nacelles?

I had this idea too, but it came to me after I made my DNL as the stock version sold in the combo pack. (The pic on the cart is my mini too!)
Doing that makes sense fluff-wise, since the DNL came before the general war, and thus before the DNG which was the first DN to have the lowered nacelles.
Stat-wise it doesn't make sense because the DNL has full LS/RS phaser arcs on the saucer, while the contemporary DNs (FJ DN, DN+) had the restricted arcs like the classic CA.
So it's as clear as mud.
That said, it's a great idea, and I'd love to see it!
EDIT: Not to burst any bubbles, but I just saw that Dale McKee (Brigman) did that. You can see his mini in the painting examples thread.
