I've read that some people use the screw on clasps for their mini bases. I thought that these would better than Magnets and probably much more stable and unlikely to fall off thru movement.
How do you guys actually attach the clasps to the plastic necks that connect the mini from the base? Superglue?
Also where can you get these clasps for purchase?
Thanks a bunch!
Anyone have experience using Jewlery Clasps for their bases?

Dorian,
John Schneder and Battlegroup Cinncinati use these clasps on all of their ships. You might shoot him a PM asking for more detail.
I've played around with the idea, but with over 500 ships currently based one way, I don' feel like jumping horses midstream, as they say. I did some of my aircraft minis using clasps and it's a nifty idea. You really only need a dozen or so stands as you can swap out minis as needed.
I picked up a pack of those clasps at Micheal's, so I know they have them. I've also seen them at Hobby Lobby and Jo-Anne Crafts so they seem readily available.

There's a good tutorial at the SCN website:

I've tried this method, and it works well, although it is labor intensive.
