Good time tonight

Just a shout out to SVC and all at ADB. Had a great night playing FC with a friend. Pretty easy to teach, he is ready to play again.

He thinks the Photon Torpedo loading procedure is hard to get for a beginner, but he is learning!

Thanks for a great game!

The easiest way to handle the photon is for all sides to agree to not use overloads initially. Then, you only have to worry about two points in energy allocation for two turns and then one point for holding. When they get used to that, then you can add in overloads.

From my experience answering questions on the boards, it seems that people can easily get confused by all of the overloading options for the photon. Just taking out overloading entirely to start with makes it easy to focus just on the photon itself. Once that is down, overloads is more easily seen as a separate issue, and most of the confusion goes away.
