Split Shield Boundaries and Transporters
If two ships are on a shield boundary with each other and each only has one shield down, can transporters be used to move personnel between the two?

Thanks. It would be great if something under the transporter section of the rules could indicate it (via the CRUL). The question came up in a game last night and we had ruled the opposite because there was no shield boundary language in the transporter rules. In other words, we incorrectly concluded that if either shield was down the transporter operation could occur.

Yes. However, if no such determination was made in the Direct Fire phase, it can be chosen in the Other Function phase.
Also, the initial example assumes that no other ships were at issue, and that the two ships were friendly. So, in their case, declaring which shields to use won't be made until the Other Functions phase.
