Anyone in Oregon?

Post by lokirising »

I'm new to Federation Commander and am now hooked. However, I've yet to find anyone interested in playing other than a few of my good friends. I'd like to see or start a regular gaming group and maybe get some events going.

Lokirising,

Goto the main page and click on Commander's Circle, Register(if your not) and go to the find players page, it will show you anyone in your area.

Hope that helps you.

Something else you can do is go to www.starfleetgames.com and look for Starlist (it's under player resources) and fill out the form and Vanessa will email you a list of known players in your zip code. Even SFB players can be coaxed into playing Fed Comm. One thing. Starlist requires that you give complete information which is then shared with those who request it. Some are concerned that this opens them to identity theft (it doesn't, Starlist doesn't tell a crook anything that a random phone directory doesn't) and refuse to give their address and those people who refuse do not get the starlist data.

You can also go to www.starfleetgames.com/discus and look for "seeking opponents" on the main list and leave a note there.

Another Alternative

I may just put the word out at a local store in Portland and go from there. Fed Comm players must exist where I'm at.

You should look for an opponents with a shotgun not a rifle. Don't pick one thing; do all of the things. Commander's circle. Starlist. the old BBS. A sign at your game store. A bumper sticker on your car.
