Playtest Andro Rules

Post by wedge_hammersteel »

Are the War & Peace (Andro rules) going to be sent to select playtest groups for evaluation prior to official release?

If so, I would like to submit Battlegroup Acadiana for this purpose.

I sent them to three staffers yesterday. They're supposed to report Friday, so I can fix any glitches or questions and official playtesting can start Friday night.

After the staff test the things for a week or two, I will update the rules and may or may not then ask for volunteers for one or two more groups.

Sounds good.

Battlegroup Acadiana has three very experienced SFB/FC players ready to volunteer.

Lots of groups have good people, but those who have never done playtesting do not understand just what is involved. Writing reports is no where near as much fun as playing, and few people have the mindset to say "I'm going to do something dumb just to see if the rules handle it" or "Well, that didn't work, let's go back two turns and try that from the other side."

If you wanted to get in on a big juicy project like this one, you needed to prove your ability to playtest before you asked for the biggest project of the last or next two years. When I review your request for one of the two spots for Andro testers, am I going to find your reports on the Frax, on scenarios, on Santa Claus, on ANYTHING?

Something over 90% of people who ask to playtest and are sent stuff to playtest never send reports (or send reports that are worthless). Prove to me you're part of the 10%. You still have time.

If you want a trained English longbowman, you start with his grandfather.
