What Scale Do You Play?
I thought it would be interesting to find out what scale most folks on the forum play.

Yes, due to my regular opponent being an ex-SFB player, I nearly always end up playing Squadron Scale. I don't think Fleet Scale quite feels right to him
The good news is that, while it takes some time, even a big 7 ship on each side Squadron Scale battle is still quite playable in FC.

Fleet scale, 99.9% of the time. I play FedCom for multi-ship actions and need the play-time kept short.
I've played a total of 2 duels in FC at squadron scale. They were fine, but I spent the whole time thinking I might as well dust off my copy of SFB. There's stuff I missed not being able to do with "full-scale" ships.

It's not a fault with FC. It's having played SFB creeping into it, when I see the squadron scale ships.
For me, when I've got the "full-blown" ship, I keep wanting to do t-bombs and other SFB stuff with it. Too much time staring at them in their "original" form and rereading the SFB Tactics Manual.
The fleet scale ships drive different for me, so it doesn't tend to happen there.

I too am an old SFB player (I'd guess most of you guys are) and I don't know if I have the same issues of being in the SFB mindset at Squadron Scale. I've certainly thought, a couple times, "wouldn't a Romulan Space Mine be really cool now", or "wouldn't that T-Bomb work wonders here". It's almost a memory lane for me more than anything.
I prefer Fleet Scale as I'm a busy guy with limited time. However, most duels tend to be done in Squadron Scale in my world. I think it's very, very cool though that we do have the option to go either way depending upon your needs/desires and time constraints. Heck sometimes, for kicks, we'll take Fleet Scale ships against a Squadron Scale ship just for the fun of it.
