Oh all right then, an ISC thread.
So, some (hopefully tough) love for the ISC.
Is the Echelon formation still a factor in FC?

From what I remember reading (not sure where), they had some rough dealings with the Tholians--the ISC were turned back from the Holdfast with more losses than they had suffered against the other Galactic powers.pinecone wrote:Hey, I've got a question. I was reading the ISC history and was wondering, what was it that caused the ISC to leave the Tholians alone? I'm just curious...
The bigger part was that the Tholians just wanted to be left alone and the ISC realized that the conflict between the Tholians and the Seltorians was really just instigated by the Seltorians. Thus, the ISC sent their uber X-ship squadron, the Eschelon of Judgement, to destroy the Seltorian Hiveship.

Basicly the way I remember it was the ISC showed up at the littlre dust up the Tholians and Seltorians were having and said play nice. The Tholians, whose Motto has always been, "Lets you and him fight", said, "You don't want to face our web casters and we don't want to leave the Holdfast."pinecone wrote:So they basically figured that the Tholians were at no fault and even if they were it wasn't worth trying to conquer the Tholians?
The ISC looked it over thought about it and decided the easiest way to calm down the Area was to send the Eschelon of Judgement ( An all X Ship Fleet) after the Seltorian Hiveship.
Seltorians ceased to be a problem and the Tholians did stay in there Holdfast. The ISC Powers that Be decided all was right in that corner of the Universe and left the Tholians alone.

When it comes to the Echelon of Judgment, their two most renowned operations (the sinking of the Burning Torch of Vengeance and their sprint across the Octant to successfully defend Korlivala from the Andromedan Invaders) are both published in Module X1R.
Another advanced technology force, the Echelon of Justice, helped do the business for the Concordium at Tibernia IV, too, as shown in Module X1.
I don't think I'd be too sad to see the SFB superstack go. (I wonder if there are any other rules that might be worth porting over?)

In FC, there's BoM - where rules that some want to see come over from SFB (scouts, maulers, carriers) have a (strictly optional) home.
If it's okay to lobby for things to go one way, why would it be a problem to offer (similarly optional) rules in the other direction?
It might not seem that way to some SFB veterans, but FC being young doesn't make it any less worthy a game system.

Your missing the point ---If it's okay to lobby for things to go one way, why would it be a problem to offer (similarly optional) rules in the other direction?
If FC players want something from SFB, then its a valid issue ---
FC players trying to force something SFB players is a totally different animal ---
