My copy of W&P came in yeaterday, and I played my first game today.

Thoughts: Andros are a lot of fun to run, though the differences will have me checking my rules every few impulses. They've got a big toolkit and it'll take some thought to be able to use all of it.

I would've been happier with more turn and slip point counters, but that's been true of all the other supplements and not something I'm going to single out W&P over. I've got a few ideas for making my own (and plan to start this week), so for me there's really no issue.

Andros and Vudar both look to be great "spoiler" races, where half the fun is messing up the other player's battleplan. Orion vs. Andro looks to be seriously entertaining...
Don't turn your head to the left, because I'll pass you on the right. Don't turn your head to the right, because I'll pass you on the left. And if you slow down, I'll run right over you.

Yeah, I was a little surprised that there wasn't a second Intruder counter in the 1" Megahex sized counters myself.

Andros will be rough. They are quite a solid representation of focus-fire. Without it, you cannot win. And we learned that the hard way. Klingons, Tholians and Feds against Andros. Klingons went one way, Feds went the other way and the Tholians hung behind and finally went with the Klingons. The turn we needed Disruptors in the firing solution, the Tholians was stuck behind web and could only throw phasers in. Go Tholians... And take the Seltorans with you. :-P
