he other thread about ADD/AFDs in BoM has made me wonder, with all the talk about what ship as going to be in, what about other rules? Will there be rules for things like proximity photons, plasma envelopers, or other cool things?

IDK about proximity photons or enveloping plasma.

Things that have already been featured in Cap Log or other places:

Fighters and carriers
Aegis (special targeting for 'escort ships')
Special sensors (or 'scouts')
Stasis Field Generators
Maulers
Commando ships (ships that carry lots of Marines for ground assaults)
Tugs and Light Tactical Transports (fleet ships for priority cargo)
