FC0001 Federation VS ISC

Post by terryoc »

This game is being played between me (Terry O'Carroll) and Eric Phillips. Tony L. Thomas has kindly agreed to moderate.

It's tournament squadrons at Fleet Scale. I'm flying ISC with the Star Cruiser (CA) Liberator, two destroyers Fiery and Hostile, and the frigate Tachyon. Eric is flying Federation, with an NCA, NCL, and NCD.

To facilitate things, it's using SFB map hex numbering. My squadron is clustered in the top left corner right now, and Eric's is facing mine in the bottom right corner. Ding ding! Round one begins...

Well, I think I will name my ships as well:

NCA USS Marlins
NCD USS Panthers
NCL USS Dolphins

(Yep, I may be in California now, but I will always love my South Florida teams. Oh, and I know the Heat just got Le Bron James, but I am not a basketball fan, so no USS Heat. Just a bunch of tall guys running back and forth for 48 minutes. Yawn.).

Better idea:
loser has to moderate a game between pc and I...
then the two winners face off for the championship of the pbem cycle.

Awsome, I agree too.

I have no doubt I'll lose to Scoutdad, but I'll hone my skills and fight the best I can.

Because Federation is already taken, I think I'd like to play the WYN. Is that okay with you Scoutdad?

Since it'll be a whole new game... all empires should be open... but let's wait unitl this one is finished to start deciding who's what.

Besides, by the time this one is completed (3 or 4 months from now...); you may ahve a new favorite race and I'd hate to see you tied into a snap decision made today.

That's true, but don't count on it. I've been a feddie for 2 1/2 years.

My three favortie races (right now) are
1. Federation
2. Hydran
3. WYN

However, I've decided (for now) I'm opting towards Hydrans. But we'll see...

Turn 1.8 orders received from both players.

I've had a busy weekend (my daughter and both grand-babies are visiting), so I've been a bit remiss in moderating.

I will begin working up turn 1-5 - 1.8 tonight.

I will also upload the Turn 1-4 SitRep and map to the web for everyone's perusal tomorrow after work.
