Sir Drake, there have to be some limits unfortunately. ATM it's only Tholians (W.C.'s), Orions (5L1), Andromedans (DisDevs), WYNs (Hellbores) and ISC (PPDs) that have any kind of ship/weapon limits. The most complex of those are the Orions, and Orions are naturally complicated. There are some more limits in Borders of Madness, like the limit on Aegis ships. But it's certainly not as complex as the SFB S8.0 rules.
