Back issues of Captain's log

Post by David »

I see that SFG's has issue 1 & 5 available in black and white reprints as well as issues 18 and up. I've ordered several off of amazon that aren't available here as well. Does anyone have a good source to get the older issues? I used to have #1 and a few others from the 80's and would like to eventually get caught up. I remember one had a Klingon D7 and F5 going up against the Hydrans who just developed hellbores and another where two Romulans and a Klingon were pursuing a Gorn who got help from a Fed CA.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

You might try American Science & Surplus (http://www.sciplus.com/). They have several of the older issues of CL for $1 apiece.

ADB is in the process of getting all the back issues redone, there's just only so much manpower to do this sort of thing.

The two issues you are referring to are probably CL#4 - When Wisdom Fails and CL#2 Refiner's Fire.

I appreciate the link, I jumped over there but they don't seem to have any at this time per their search function. I'll keep checking back though.

That would be great if they did. And those two titles sound familiar, thank you. I also remember the one with the Masters and Deth O'Kay flying the modified D7. Think that is all I had back then.

I'll keep looking and if anyone has other sources please let me know. Thanks.

David, try searching for "Star Trek" at American Science & Surplus. It is item "32420 STAR TREK BOOKS".

If you call them, they can tell you what issues they have on hand and will put a custom order together for you.

I just checked and they still have them.

I was able to get #8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16. Plus I was able to get the older Federation sourcebook from the original Prime Directive system.

I found CL#1 on eBay for next to nothing.

I hound Leanna constantly to get these back in print, or put them on e23.

Her email address is Sales@StarFleetGames.com

Perhaps if you all began an Email campaign to encourage her?

A really polite (to the point of being obsequious) campaign ...

And the campaign was apparently victorious as CL#1-CL#16 are now available as Classic Reprints.

The reprints are very appreciated. I've gotten several already and now I can start filling in what I'm missing.

Many thanks. :)
