These schematics are gorgeous.

You are seriously tempting me to go pick up Romulan Border!

The NCA has just launched a 15-point suicide shuttle at the FF. Since the FF has no way of stopping it, I expect the SS to blow through the forward shield (1 point of reinforcement) and do six internals. Not good, but not as bad as it would have been if the NCA had chosen to fire its ph-1 at the FF's #1 shield, it could easily have been hit by twice as much internal damage. And if Eric had not chosen (rather optimistically IMO) to load the NCA's remaining torp for two points, that would have been an eighteen-point SS. An extra nine points of damage on something as small as a fleet-scale frigate is really significant.

Yep, me too. Things like:

-Take advantage of every opportunity to rebid
-Don't count on getting the perfect firing opportunity
-PPDs are awesome
-PPDs are twice as awesome at Fleet Scale

Impulse 2 of turn three is really seeing things heat up:
The ISC destroyer #2 fired it's probe launher as a direct fire weapon... htting the Federation NCA for 8point of damage on a downed shield. The resulting damage arced through the remaining system boxes resulting in the complete destruction of the NCA.

Two drones from the NCD are closing in on the ISC frigate...

FC-0001 is officially over.

The following communique was sent by the Federation Captain:

The Captain of the FED NCD signals his intention to disengage from
battle with the pacifist that have destroyed two of my fleet. If he
accepts, I will drop tracking of my seeking weapons.

Tip of the hat to Terry.

It is official, I am disengaging my remaining ship from the battle. The ISC "pacifists" sure are good killers.

Not only did I take a beating with suicide shuttles, Terry did a "Cartman" on me, using a probe up my backside. (Go to http://bit.ly/1OYBN4 to explain the Cartman reference).

Grats Terry, and thanks Tony for moderating.

Hi guys! Few things:

1. I have been PMed by Tony and Eric concering safety issues. I will bring these up with my parents as soon as possible. PMs/EMs should be coming to you soon with their answers.

2. I am wondering: am I allowed to run the Feds? If so, I probably will, as they are the race, uh, empire (don't whang me  ) I am most expirienced with, and I'll need all the help I can get against Tony  . Otherwise, I will use the Hydrans (because they're my next favorite and my opponent thinks they are low-down, dirty rotten... you know the rest.) Also, what are the restrictions for choosing ships, and how many points?

3. I'm looking forward to this. Good luck tony. And thank you for moderating Eric.
