Reference Rulebook: Terrain Rules

Post by greatnagus »

Hi,

I'm new to the game and have just bought Klingon Border. I want to spice up the game by adding more terrain rules. Is the Reference Rulebook a good source for those rules? Which terrain rules are included? Are the rules for black holes (etc from Hydran Attack) included as well?

Thanks!

The reference rulebook has black holes, asteroids (three sizes), pulsars, nebulae, and I may be forgetting some. (Don't have my book with me, at the moment). And yes, the reference rb is a great investment.

I would caution that the rules in the Reference Rulebook for the terrain that was introduced with Hydran Attack are only the playtest version of those rules. The final version of those terrain rules are in the rules booklet that came with Hydran Attack.

I would have to double-check, but to the best of my knowledge, the rules for black holes, pulsars, and nebulas were unchanged between the Reference Rulebook and Hydran Attack.

The only real issue is that the Black Hole rules should be (6G), not (6D).

It would be great if they turn out to be unchanged. They are prefaced in the Reference Rulebook as being playtest rules.
