Pinecone vs. Krellex through turn 2

Post by Krellex »

Well, Piney and I got started tonight.
Turn 1 he parked in the corner at spd 0, and was pumping his photons full of power. I came out at 24 to try and close the gap so I could launch a drone swarm at the end of the turn. He unloaded a bunch of phasers at my CL and after reinforcement, took the #1 down by 4 points. I fired the distruptors at his BC and dinged up the #1 for a few. End of turn we were at 25 hexes, so I launched the obligatory drone wave. Turn 2, he really juiced up the photons, and we both picked speed 8. No way was I going to close with him, so I launched another drone wave, and before I turned to run away, I hit him with 10 out of 12 disruptors (in the 9-15 range bracket), almost taking down his #1, and killing 2 phasers from leakage. Pinecone then had a heyday shooting down every single drone I had launched at him while barely breaking a sweat. Although he did have to use a couple of his own drones to finish the job. End of turn 2, I shot at him with some phasers, and did 2 points. We ended the turn at 16 hexes, with me running away from his glowing (white hot) photon tubes. He shifted some shields around to start fixing his #1, repaired a phaser, and we ended there since he needed to log off. Expect turn three to see him try and get within OL photon range to answer my lucky disruptor hits, while I am running and running.

Have we startedround 3 yet. I have not seen any updated nor recieved any e-mails.

I noticed that there was a Doyle Vs Dropout Posted. Was that Vulcan dropout? I was the winner of that game. I just want to make sure I am not missing anything. Thanks for the help if anyone has info.

Regard,
Pat
Once again I have proven that even in the future, your photon torpedoes are built by the lowest bidder.
