Okay...

Mojo, you are usually on the ball with paying attention, but there's nothing (unless you are extremely creative) that you can do about Guido's problems right now.

The puzzle is something else. Hopefully Skexis can fill you in on it.

I'll let you guys suffer one more day.

If I give it away, there will be a consequence, though.... Maybe....

Well, i still haven't read all of the backlogs, but I do worse second-hand. I'm kind of an outsider, but I think it's all about.. Oh, wait, I ain't got a clue...

Well, I'm kinda mentally "hung up" on the fact I'm looking for a thing called "Rocky" who "is a native" with dark green scales, which is funny since this planet (Tafelland) were on was colonized by humans (South African), and the kind that keep to themselves...

Anyway, this planet is a desert, so outside of Donjebruche Trading Post, there is an oasis valley (Grenveldt colony) with those human colonists, but we're typically not allowed to go there. (maybe me, since I'm pretty much a human, but I would stand out horribly bad in that culture.) Off in the far distance is company owned mining towns, but those are very sparse and far between... I would guess we would need a shuttle to get to those.

Basically, from Captain Jack's Notebook:
"Bring him to me... here. He's a local; a nomad. He goes by the name... Rocky. He's a ssshort fellow... a native... dark green scales... you might check the nomad quarter first."

Native with dark green scales is what's throwing me. But Rocky sounds like a sort of reasonable human name. Definitely not a scaly alien name.

The natives were incognito for a long time... and once they revealed themselves... the planet's economic/political/strategic position in the Federation was firmly entrenched.

(I issued Library Data to cover this expected confusion previously.)

Many of the worthless desert regions of the world are technically nomad reservations. Until valuable mineral deposits are found, anyway.

I see where the confusion is now...

Just do something and we'll straighten this all out...

Anyone opposed to having Marcus "shake down" the grandfather to find out if Rocky's really on a hunt?

Keldek is a Hilidarian archeologist that Captain Jack met on the planet Klardon before he was known as Captain Jack... Hilidarian markings sometimes are like fingerprints, and red strips are relatively rare. (as far as Captain Jack knows..)

It was a huge stretch with this Hilidarian, and Captain Jack was there are hired help as the Navigator on the exploration team. He was disguised as a Klingon civilian then.

he has absolutely NOTHING to do with the story.

Think of some summer job you had back in college, you met people, and you was able to drop a name like 15 years later to avoid shooting someone...

Can't say that ever happened to me... Then again, my summer job was selling tights to ballerinas, so probably out of the 'shooting someone' menome... ;)

But yeah, me=confused, too, because I don't know nuttin'. Thanks for clearing it up.

My question is how does Skexis know about Keldek (the player not the character)?

My guess would be he didn't, unless he read Klingon anthropology journals.

Reliable internet on my laptop would be nice. I guess I'm going to have to post from my iPhone alot :(

I guess I'll give my 2 cents after all this time. So I know the other Hillidarian mentioned Keldek in the bar. Skexis was listening to the conversation. My thinking was archeology...valuable artifact found...But maybe I'm off in left field with that.
