Whoops. Not mine, of course.

I found the photos here.

The details are good because it's a relatively huge model kit....

Now... how to get something like that on the lead minis...?

LOL- the fact that it was an AMT model might account for the detail.
I figured you just had some awesome decals made.

Detail like that on a mini starts to push towards waterslide decals being your friend. Some people can pull off nice heraldic birds with paint, but I'm certainly not one of them.

One of the nice things about Romulans and decals is that if you go with the old-school light-gray base color, you can use ink-jet printed decals sheets made at home. There's various art for the birds floating around the internet which can be sized and printed onto clear decal sheet. The lack of a white underprint isn't a problem over light gray (homeprint decals look terrible over darker colors, like on Kzintis).

Go for the glory and paint the heraldric birds by hand... it's easy... honest... I wouldn't lie to you... wanna buy a slightly used Primr Trader? It only had one owner and she only flew it on Sundays and never at more than Warp 1.2...

Patients, model paints, brushes, pet free zone to work in, patients, sandpaper, xacto knives, patients, goods lights, magnifying glass, good digital camera to share pics, small clamps to hold minis and last of all, patients.

Very Happy

RoFL - commas save lives. Does spelling save lives as well. I'd hate to be one of your patients. Sandpapered, knifed, clamped ..... No wonder you need so many patients.

NB - Thats not a dig, I'm terrible with grammar and typing, Some are just so funny though. Of course it also could be a difference between Uk and US spelling. Either way it made me laugh :)
