Vrrooom!

Fred and a bunch of nomads board the skimmer.

Marcus fiddles with the map. It appears to be sort of an interactive 3D model. He's zoomed into the outside of the building... the large glass windows on the building are about as big as your hand... and touching them causes them to scroll around. It's pretty accurate. He notices some UFP flags zip by that he recognizes....

"Let's go..."

Captain Jack pilots the skimer towards the point Marcus picked.

Skexis obliges and opens the plans. "Ok skimmer bay is up there on the 20th floor. The artifact could be anywhere in all these offices though. I would check the executive offices first. The bigwigs would be more likely to have it."

"Ok lets land in the skimmer bay and make our way to the offices. Everything and anything is fair game form hear on out. Consider everyone a threat."

Marcus gets ready to exit the skimmer once they enter the bay. while they are landing he will scan the area to see where hostiles are.

Captain Jack sees a large garage door on the 20th floor. It is presently closed.

Skexis manages to scroll over to the 20th floor on the map. Reaching his claw through a "window", he manages to push the view "down" so that he gets a top-down view of the floor.

Skexis sees a maze of offices with yellow dots glowing on each hallway corner and in each room. The garage door flashes in red. There are green dots in motion on the map in the hallways... while some are stationary or in rooms. The number 20 glows in purple and hovers to the side of the floor plan.

Can Marcus remotely log into the security system and try to open the garage door?

Fred makes sure his rifle is loaded, and says, "Crash through the door. I'll strafe them from the passenger door. You guys get the goods, and I'll make sure no one comes from behind.

"And hit one of those yellow thingies, see what it is," he says, sticking his finger in the hologram on one of the yellow dots.

When Fred touches the yellow thingy, the view fades into a three-dimesional view of a hallway corner. The camera pans back and forth so that you can see down either passage. You can make out someone in business attire walk out of a door and down the hall.... The person has a sort of surreal green shimmer to them.

[12 or less... but unknown penalty... (3d6=5)]

Marcus thinks he has the gist of how this works... as long as nothing too unusual happens. He's no hacker, anyway. But if this thing has built in features for that... it just might work....

OOC: I am not sure about these techie things. I figured you just make a roll and he does it...all the fluff and technobabble is supplied by you. Wouldn't have a clue what to do but my character might. I''ll give it a try

Marcus tries to remotely open the door by trying to match the remote frequency that is required to open the door. He does this by building a algorithm to try and find the opening code.

[Technobabble isn't the answer to this one.]

The garage door is still closed.

[Remember, Prime Directive is based on TOS, not Next Generation...!]

OOC: Not sure what to do I figured if I made the roll the character figured it out and I didn't need to embelish because I don't have the slightest idea in RL how to do these things.

Marcus tries again by bypassing the security system to open the garage door on the 20th level.

OOC: I am out of ideas after this. I figured having the electronics Ops Security system skill woudl give the character knowledge of this and I myself woukd not have to spell it out in game.

[Other players feel free to try to help Marcus out-- computer problems are that sort of thing....]
