Skexis easily opens the door.

You see a posh office... but... it is now deserted...!

Marcus curses and starts searching the room for an escape route. He says,"Cover the door and get everyone inside."

As soon as everyone is inside and the door is closed, Captain Jack starts to search the office...

You see an imposing desk, some vintage chairs, and two book shelves with real books on them. There is a camera device in the upper left corner of the room near the entrance.

Obviously, take out the camera device.
Then check the books to see if there is anything hidden in them.

Marcus wil look for any obvious exits from the room besides the one they came in. If none are aparent he will search for hidden ones.

He says to Skexis,"See if that thing can locate the rooms occupants? Perhaps a playback to look at the goings on in the room during our assault?"

Skexis brings up the office on the device. If he doesn't see anything, he zooms out to this area of the building. "I have a feeling they took the artifact with them."

[How do you "take out" the camera device?]

Captain Jack sees dozens of vintage books. You notice several ancient Charles Dickens novels, a complete set of Jules Verne novels, and several other unrecognizable works.

Marcus finds no exits from the room apart from the main one.

Skexis finds the room on the map device. There are currently several green dots in the room. Skexis sees two green dots moving down a passage on the opposite side of the wall... but the map device shows no doorways leading to that stretch of hallway!

Marcus loses his patience and sets his phaser for the highest setting. He fires at the wall where the 2 green dots were passing behind trying to cut a hole in the wall.
