Alternate Reference Card
Nick Sandberg submitted a modified Reference Card that is now in the Play Aid section of Commanders' Circle.
Does this look to be more useful than the official one or not?

Thanks for putting it up here mike, and the salutations blammo. The reason I changed the reference card was to free up more space on the back for weapons charts because I get stuck playing the klingons a lot and am constantly flipping from P1 to P2 weapons charts, also because we have as a group lost track of our impulse during very heated maneuver or heavy fire so I like having a record track, eric phillips actually gave me the idea, he has a cool chart that uses chits to keep track but I figured with the reference card everyone has one during the game so in group games you should be able to have everone keep track, hopefully with few minority reports
Yes, having all the weapons on one side of the card is better IMO. I have gotten a case of "Klingon wrist" from all the flipping to read the phaser charts.

I voted no to the new cards because I slide a paper clip down the side of the card to keep track of the impulses. Now a set of empire speacific cards that are 8.5*5.5 I can put next to ship cards so I can make de facto Commander SSDs is something I would like to see.

I had intended the poll to be "would you buy this as an extra play aide" not as "replace the original card with this one." Next time, I give Mike W better directions.
Printing cards depends on what you want. Coated/laminated cards have a minimum print run that exceeds what the current market is buying. (Sales for all companies have dropped by 40-80%. I talked with one of the top five companies that used to do print runs of 5,000 or 10,000 for new RPG books and is now printing 500 or 1000 of similar books and not selling out.)
In theory, if there was some card that 30 or 50 people wanted, I could whip it up, drive 1.3 miles down the street (literally) and have 50 copies printed for $1 each, then bring them back to the office and sell them mail order for $3 each. But is $100 worth the bother? Well, sometimes it is, because I am a River to my People.

I voted yes *because* the DAC #6 roll is missing. I get really narked at losing fusions before they can shoot.
Seriously, I like the new card, the idea of check boxes to record the impulse/sub impulse, and keeping all the weapons data in the same place. I usually use a D8 and a D4 (dice, not captured Klingon ships) to record the turn's progress. This is simpler. However...
